M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. We provide a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology (cancer care) services and blood and marrow and organ transplantation. Our clinical staff apply innovative approaches to creating medical breakthroughs based their work with patients and on findings through research at the University of Minnesota. This has led to several firsts, including the first successful pediatric blood marrow transplant, infant heart transplant in Minnesota and cochlear ear implant surgery for a child. Through teamwork and collaboration, we respectfully address the physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs of pediatric patients and their families.

Directions & Parking
University of Minnesota Medical Center and University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital /South Building are located at the corner of Riverside Avenue and 25th Avenue on the West Bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.

Patients, families and visitors may park in the Green Garage, located underneath the children's hospital building (at the intersection of 25th Avenue and 7th Street). Valet parking also is available at the entrance of the children's hospital. Service is offered from 5 a.m. - 8 p.m., Monday-Friday. Valet is charged at the reduced rate. Additional parking is available in the Blue surface lot and Red and Yellow parking ramps.
A validation stamp from an information desk or clinic is required for a reduced parking rate for all ramps and lots. For reduced parking rates in the Blue surface lot or the Yellow or Red ramps, bring your parking ticket to the reception desk at the hospital or clinic to receive validation. No validation is required for price reduction in the Green ramp.
Patient & Visitor Information
Parking is available near each of the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in the South Building. It is recommended that patients with appointments in the South Building use the Green Garage under the hospital. Enter from 25th Avenue, or use the valet service at the main entrance of the hospital.

Collaboratively designed with children and their families, Masonic Children’s Hospital provides a beautiful, innovative space for the entire family. Through teamwork and partnership, our team respectfully addresses the physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs of pediatric patients and their families as they heal. Conveniently located right off Highway 94 on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis—just 10 minutes from St. Paul. Collaboratively designed with children and their families, easy underground parking and valet service are also available.
We offer a wide range of amenities and services on campus, including coffee shops and cafeterias; gift shops; ATMs; chaplaincy services and dedicated worship space; WiFi and meeting spaces; international services; as well as numerous options for patients and their families, including a wellness center with salon services; outdoor sports court and inside activity space; resource center; integrative therapies; pet therapy visits; and more. Weekly newsletters are delivered to each patient with a schedule of the week’s activities.
Additionally, our Child-Family Life Specialists—pediatric health care professionals—work with children and families to help them cope with the potential challenges of hospitalization, illness, and disability. Child-Family Life Specialists focus on the psychosocial development of children by providing age appropriate preparation for medical procedures, pain management, coping strategies, play and self-expression activities. They also provide information, support and guidance for managing stress and anxiety to parents, siblings, and other family members.
