The M Health Fairview Current Concepts in Sports Medicine annual conference features national, regional, and local leaders in Sports Medicine and Orthopedics who will share the latest in research and treatment through expert lectures with questions-and-answers panel discussions on clinically important topics.
This conference is appropriate for physicians, physician assistants, athletic trainers, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists and other sports medicine providers.
Registration fee: $75 per registrant
Course Purpose and Learning Objectives:
The purpose of this conference is to present case-based, cutting-edge medical information on sports medicine and sports related injuries that sports medicine professionals can directly apply to the care of their athletic population.
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
- Discuss orthopedic biomechanical assessment methods, including technological advances.
- Demonstrate clinical decision making including surgical indications, operative procedures and post-operative rehabilitation procedures.
- Identify musculoskeletal pathology and treatments specific to an athletic population.

Fairview Health Services is accredited by the Minnesota Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Fairview Health Services designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician Assistants may receive a maximum of 5.0 hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program.
This course qualifies for 5.0 Category 1 credits under Minnesota rule MN Rule 5601.2400, Subpart 1, A.
Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care (BOC AP# P8345) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 5 EBP Category hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.
