The Highland Bridge development in St. Paul will have 3,800 new housing units, 265,000 square feet of office space, and – anchoring the area – an expanded M Health Fairview clinic to better serve the needs of St. Paul’s newest neighborhood.

We will relocate our existing M Health Fairview Clinic - Highland Park to a new building within the Highland Bridge development. It will anchor the future Highland Bridge Medical Office, which will be located on the corner of Ford Parkway and Mount Curve Boulevard in St. Paul. The new facility is expected to be complete in 2023. Our existing clinic, located two blocks away at 2155 Ford Parkway, will remain open until the new space is ready for patients.

M Health Fairview has been a part of the surrounding neighborhood for over three decades. Our new, expanded clinic is a reinvestment in the community. It will also make healthcare access easier than ever for the thousands of future residents in St. Paul’s Highland Park area – while ensuring uninterrupted care for existing patients.

"Our Highland Park clinic has been at it’s current location for over 25 years," said Sara Johnson, MD, medical director of the Highland Park clinic. "The Highland Bridge project is an exciting opportunity to serve our established patients from the Highland and Hiawatha neighborhoods, as well as to expand to serve the growing Highland Bridge community. The Highland Bridge providers will provide high quality, compassionate, family care throughout the lifespan."

In addition to being located in the heart of a large new development, our Highland clinic is conveniently placed along several major public transportation lines. The new building will also provide walkable access to the offices, shops, parks, and other amenities that are taking shape in the 122-acre Highland Bridge development.

Construction will begin later this year on the future Highland Bridge Medical Office. Once completed, the building will have two stories – totaling 60,000 square feet – of medical office space. M Health Fairview will occupy 26,000 square feet. Our relocated clinic will provide primary care services – including family medicine, women’s health, and pediatrics. We will have a pharmacy located on the first floor of the building. M Health Fairview Rehabilitation Services, which offers physical therapy and sports medicine, will also be part of the new facility.

“We’re excited to move into this new space that will allow us to expand our services to better meet the needs of patients in St. Paul and the surrounding area,” said Eric Nelson, president of M Health Fairview’s primary care service line. “The community will have easy access to primary care and other resources they need to take charge of their health.”

The building will be constructed by Ryan Development. It will be built to meet sustainable building standards and is anticipated to earn a LEED Silver certification. This award recognizes building projects that support the health and well-being of its occupants, neighbors, and the environment.
